The Actual Meaning Of Haste
A box of paperclips once spilled onto the floor. They were the large, oversized office-silver ones which could hold absurd amounts of paper together. Hastily, I bent down to pick them up, one by one. It was not long before I realised that I could have just dragged my hand along the ground into a pile to pick the lot up. So I put the box back onto my desk, and knocked it off again. The paperclips spilled once again onto the floor.

octopus's garden
just some thinking i was doing the other day...
so choose the one thing you want most and the one thing you want least
and then think if one of these happened - say the thing you want least happened. then the thing you want most would probably be to get rid of whatever that thing is.
and if the thing you want most right now happened to you, then the thing you want least might be for that thing to go away. it isn't for me :P but it might be for you
so what you want changes.
that's what i figured out :)
alsooooo i want to ask: if you were walking your dog and another dog comes up with no collar and nobody around that owns it, what would you do?
it was a black lab that wasn't that scary and it followed me for a bit and then ran away.
i couldn't really do anything but should i have taken it home or something? :S
The Meaning Of Truth
I used to walk to the same british racing green cedar tree everyday, at 12 o'clock in the afternoon. As bad as my day, or week was, it was inevitable that I would visit this certain tree. One day, the tree asked me a question. "Why don't I have leaves?". This stumped me for a moment, then I replied, "You do, just that they are not like the other kinds of leaves." The tree left it at that.

How To Lose The Meaning Of Beauty
I once owned a vase. It was a shapely, smooth pearl white and I couldn't have imagined it any other way. I brought it out for a day and carried it around with me. I received praise from many people about how beautiful it looked. As the day went on, the praise seemed to keep rolling in. My thank you's turned into thanks...then into small grunts of acknowledgement. I gave the vase away, it just didn't seem beautiful anymore.

Moi Aussi
I just watched Julie and Julia, which, funnily enough - is essentially about a blog 365. I felt spiritually connected. Although, I don't think that I will ever get completely obsessed and self-absorbed about the whole thing. I think.
Hm, maybe it's a slightly healthier connection. Instead of making your life revolve around your blog, let it revolve around your life. As a daily part of it, like brushing your teeth (assuming that you do..). And by the time it's day threehundredandsixtyfive, you wouldn't really have noticed. You just get hit by that really hard, realisation that a whole year has gone by.
On another note, I'm going through an isolation thing. That sounded better in my head. I'll reply to emails in a spontaneous manner in a few insert amount of times time.
Brigitte, out.
