Once when I was little, at school we got these bags, like those ones you put presents in, and we had to put a present in it for a kid in hospital. I had to make one for a girl and I remember putting in a toy sheep which I think was one of my toys I had, as well as some other stuff. And I remember being all cute and writing a little message which was extremely cheesy - 'remember to be strong and (name of sheep) will take care of you'.
So my friend and I would like to start something to help people, and we know it's too hard to do international things so we want to help people/help out closer to home. What are some causes/charities that we should look into?
That story was kind of something I thought of, maybe giving to kids who need it? But those Christmas gift charities and things already exist.
