so brigitte, i'd like to ask you some questions:
do you happen to go for a walk everyday? (if you did that would be super interesting)
what do you do in your spare time?
.... just tell me any story you like about yourself :)

oh Capri

that's 13 frozen peas, count them :)

i know there are no pictures of me actually eating the peas but i promise i did

so i have to say brigitte that was not a hard punishment at all. i was trying to eat them as fast as possible so they didn't have time to melt and actually taste like pea
it was alright at first but then the aftertaste kicked in

Things That I Did Today

I did some art (and drank tea which tasted bad, I came to face the facts that I'm bad at making tea).

I realised how tiny my pencils were getting (pinky-finger-size-tiny).

I also realised how much the gum I was chewing in my mouth looked like my gum magnet (prize for the correct guess).

Turn Around Pt. 2

The holidays came by, which meant... Spontaneous Furniture Rearrangement

I'm too weak to move furniture with the drawers still in them. So that took ages.

Using my cutting-to-fit method, my bed wouldn't fit in the space I gave to it (it eventually fitted in snugly).

I found something which is hiding beneath my bottom drawer! I know exactly what it is and plan on opening it when I'm at the end of year 13, or something. Like a time capsule. If I'm still blogging in two years time, I'll share its contents with you.

And there we have my rearranged room. Which doesn't look really too different...at all.

---

Oh, and something interesting has happened. Or occurred - that word suits more. Well, to make things more interesting, Joy and I are going to challenge and punish each other for the rest of the year. And I get to punish Joy first (woohoo!). I went through our entire blog archive to find out who had missed the most days until now.

I think we all know the answer...
Joy - 7
Me - 2

Joy has missed an entire week altogether. She's effectively doing a blog 365 minus a week. So I get to punish her. We were talking on MSN and I wanted to punish her with oreos, but she didn't have any. But - she did have yoghurt...and frozen peas.

Joy's first punishment ever: Eat a pottle of yoghurt with thirteen frozen peas. Om nom nom. Have fun :)

Dear Reader,

It was halfway through this blog 365 nine days ago. Just thought that you should know that, unless Joy mentioned it before. Awkward.

Well, I'm writing to you because, I just...never really took the time to say thank you for reading this blog. As tiny as the amount of readers we have is (that was really bad English), people are people - which counts as people. And I think that it is three people. Or more. Lurkers. I lurk many sites and never tell the people I lurk - so I guess that it's only fair that lurkers don't have to un-lurk themselves. That's mean.

How are you?

That was a bit late, but I felt obligated to ask.

I'm on holiday at the moment (as of 3:20pm today), so I'm free all day. Kind of. But free for most of the time. Which means that, I have a feeling that I've talked about this already...

"The holidays are coming up at the end of the week. Which means I have three weeks of free days. Or free weeks of three days. Days of free three weeks. There. Which means that I'll have more time to spend on things, such as this. I'm quite glad though that this blog hasn't turned in a chore - because as we know, chores aren't fun. Unless you're a cleaning hound. I have yet to meet a second one."

That's embarrassing, I actually did. So I reiterate my point...I have plenty of time for the next three weeks, which means that I could be conjuring something very interesting. Including ditching this weekly theme. I can't write letters for an entire week. I write enough letters as is. Argh.

Okay. Ditching the theme.
Back to random regurgitated information tomorrow.
Joy, I have to let you know about stuff. Get on MSN, or AIM or something.

wish it was last week

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i got paid $25 so that's going in my jack johnson fund

omg wow i have 2 days (today and tomorrow) to spend $56 phone credit

Dear Agent Smith,

Even though you are actually Hugo Weaving, I will pretend that your real self does not exist and instead, talk to your fictional character whom you played in The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. You were extremely cool and I plan on running a Matrix marathon, by myself.

Anyway, I'd like to say thank you for existing. Truly. Your sunglasses will beat Horatio's any day - which leads me to thank you some more for not taking them off...and putting them on every doggamned scene you're in with a snappy punchline which makes you go, "ooohhhhhh". Your cool ways with messing with Neo's mind, as well as everyone else's has made you truly inspiring.

Then you hit closer to (my) home, when you popped up in some after-exam-end-of-the-year game in year nine science. We did not fully understand the game, but it was pretty fun playing with a miniature (but pixalated) card cut-out of you. Then I decided to use you in my year ten art painting topic. It was rather fun, having a small you in the corner...and then a big you in the other corner. The red and blue drips symbolised the real world and The Matrix...and...yeah.

Even though your hairline is receding, your cool hasn't receded at all.
Keep it up,
Brigitte

i forget to write labels

I think I'm going to name my daughter Katie or Holly
Which one do you think? (and please comment or I feel like a douche)
+ middle name Noelle

And then boys names I have this list which I need to shorten
Cameron
Justin
Jesse
Liam
Sam
Zane
Carter

wow that wasn't meant to go for that long but I got bored. Umm okay so that's it for now. I'm so tired :(

do you remember

okay, am i really really weird?
when i have a long sleeve top on, sometimes i will roll the sleeves up just so the elbows don't get stretched
usually when i'm on the computer (cause my elbows are bent)

is that extremely odd?

okay this website is called makes me think, and it's quite great :)

Dear Person In The Sky,

Even though I do not believe in you, not being to be wholly controversial, I'd like to thank you. This week has been so darn awesome. Everything I say is awesome, and awesome things are awesomely happening. I thank my sudden hit of the common cold to be the cause of this awesomeness, but I do not know.

The thing is, that, I have been...feeling kind of different. Not variably different. But like, I've switched flavours of cordial. I don't know whether I'll run out of this flavour/run back to my original flavour - but I'm kind of enjoying this slight revamp in personality.

Yet again, the placebo effect is probably at it again. Damn reverse psychology. The sugar pills just taste so good.

Just thought that I'd let you know,
Brigitte

true

i have a new goal. i came up with it last night.
every week i'm going to stop one of my bad habits and start a good one :)
i made myself a calendar and every week i'll write down what habit i need to stop + start
i'm pretty proud of myself so don't let me quit okay? :D

"Somebody's Crying" by Chris Isaak is pretty good.
so is "Help Yourself" by Sad Brad Smith

okay, i'm labeling

Dear Sick Person,

No, you are not sick in the mind/head. You are sick. Not sadistically sick, sorry. I mean, you have tiny chickens laying tiny eggs in your head. Your head is just as blocked as mine, yet you still go to school.

I could possibly blame you for making me sick, although I'm not entirely sure if you actually did render me unhealthy in the first place - I could have just made myself sick by making poor health choices. 1) The fact that I do not listen to my mother's warnings about catching the 'chill' 2) Acting upon 1). But, it always feels better to blame the other person. Which I do, most of the time.

When we will get better, I don't know - but it better be sometime soon. This sickness only seems to hit me once in the winter time and once in any arbitrarily given season. Not good, but better than some who are just a *little* sick throughout the entire year. It hits us in giant...smacks of sickness.

On the other hand, being sick means that you get to complain about how sick you are and get out of things - which wouldn't happen otherwise. It's kind of, nice to get some sympathy too. Note that no sympathy is given during the winter season, because everyone is sick. If anyone did feel sorry for you, then that would be kind of absurd. Everyone is either sick, or not sick during winter, or any other time...actually. The people who are sick feel sorry for themselves and the people who aren't feel sorry for the ones who are out of pure courtesy. I don't think that they actually do care. Or do they?

Have fun anyway, I have to go and clear my nasal passageway.
Brigitte

We're Italy, We're Awesome, lol jks, we can't even beat New Zealand

i would just like to tell you that: superglue is amazing

A Weekly Theme:

(Which I promise to actually stick to).

As you may have noticed, I have conjured up many weekly themes; which I have only stuck to about once or twice. It's crunch time, or not. I just need to make a weekly theme and stick to it. So I came up with one which shouldn't be too hard. Given that this week goes by smoothly.

I plan to spent the rest of this week (until Sunday), writing a letter to a person each day. I haven't decided who these people are going to be yet, or whether I'll be naming them. So that's why I'm going to leave an update section below.

UPDATE SECTION: 6:47pm - Okay. The person I decide on for whatever day will be purely arbitrary, meaning that no one in particular is special if they get a letter from me (more like a curse of rambled nonsense). Let's go with first names since I'll probably find myself reading these in a couple year's time, finding myself completely clueless as to who they are to. Woohoo. Weekly themes.

The holidays are coming up at the end of the week. I have yet to meet a second one.

Rambling phase? No? I just ruined it by stating so.
Joy, we have to start tagging our posts.

Sunday, June 20, 2010

Dear Joy,

After we finish this blog 365, we should so video blog.
Oh wait, I meant, vlog.

Anyway, I'm sick. And I'm still going to go to school tomorrow - which means that I will make everyone sick. Wait, if everyone is sick anyway, does that mean that my sickness affects them? Will I make them, sicker? I hope not, because if I'm sick and everyone else is - that will escalate to a whole new level of sickness.

You can probably tell that I've been watching vlogs of a certain brotherhood.
Go forth, watch them. They're so much more entertaining.

Yours,
Brigitte

in between dreams

i will just go on about girly stuff for today
see i have work experience tomorrow, and i needed clothes so i went shopping yesterday
i got this blue skirt which is just amazing, i really love it. that was my favourite thing i got
i got this dress/top thing which you have to wear with leggings
then this skirt which actually isnt that work-experiency now that i look at it but hopefully i can wear it sometime
and those last two were from supre. and i know you're probably thinking 'supre...ew' but it's actually not that bad i've realised. apart from all the 'team jacob' tops and 'i kissed a vampire and i liked it', there are some really good things in there. and it's cheap too. so yeah i officially like supre - don't shoot me
and then i got combat boots, and i'm not really sure about that cause i always thought they were just a fad but i did need new boots and they are actually really nice. and they were cheap cause i got them from rubi shoes.
ugh i just tried to upload a photo of combat boots but it didn't work
but yeah i do love mine so that's okay i guess

what i'm really not looking forward to is eating lunch all alone tomorrow, cause i'm pretty sure no one else is going to be at my work experience place except me :/

Within The Blog

Yeah Joy. Good excuse. Hehem.
Don't say sorry to me, say sorry to our sad amount of readers (thanks guys). They had the privilege of reading my lone post yesterday about my waking habits :)

I just had (well, just meaning...a few moments ago) a missed call from a withheld number. That bugs me. I have no idea who that person is and probably will not find out.

You could just call them back?

Well, yes. I could.

Go on.

Nah. No. Er.

Joy, you are most definitely an abstract noun...not a metaphor :P Although, your name probably is used in a lot of metaphors. Funnily enough, I was talking to Louisa today (I wonder whether she's ever read our blog, maybe we should show it to her) about how my name could be a verb. It also didn't occur to me that b-dog had a hyphen...did we always hyphenate it?

laziness

so last night i was talking to myself:
'oh shit i forgot to blog'
'there's your laptop right there'
'i want to go to sleep'
'don't blog then, no biggie'

sorry brig :(

i had this dream last night that i was learning to surf but we were at a swimming pool, like a wave pool. and then i fell off my surfboard and start drowning but my friend who's teaching me pulls me up. then my favourite teacher is there and his teacher friends.
don't you love it when you wake up and realize you don't have to be awake yet?

okay i'm sorry for going on about anything but i feel bad about all the short posts

oh hey. i don't know what this picture actually means, would someone like to explain?
actually i'm feeling like an idiot cause i saved this picture ages ago thinking "yeah i'm (joy's) a metaphor! like what b-dog said!"
took me a while just then to realize: no joy isn't a metaphor it's an abstract noun :(

Good Morning

Your alarm clock buzzes at 6:30am.
Groaning (in a tired way, no, stop it) you turn it off.
You drift back to sle- oh shit. It's 6:48am...
Get up, leaning on your elbows...but you strength..is gone.
How did it become 6:53am?
Sleeping face down was never a good idea, maybe the lack of oxygen has made you so tired.
Okay, third try...getting...up. 6:58am.
This happens everyday. Just bloody get up.
7:03am. Sigh.

Cheques and Checks

At some point in anybody's life, I'm sure that they will find themselves leaning against the side of their bed, looking over the spread of paperwork sprawled across their bed. Certain things that have to be sent by a certain date, things to be filed away for obligatory purposes, homework from godknowswhen to be looked at, things to type up.

And we stick out our right arm, and in one sweeping motion...all the chaos is gone.

photos

A Quick and Dirty Analysis of a 365

I've done a 365 before and I know how it goes.

1 - 100 - YUS! SO KEEN TO GET STARTED!11
101 - 200 - Oh my god. Kill me now.
201 - 300 - So near to the end, I want it to end now.
300 - 365 - Whee, so keen to finish, this has been such a learning curve.

Can you see where I am heading towards?

A meme (pronounced /ˈmiːm/, rhyming with "cream") is a unit of cultural ideas, symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena. [thank you dear Wikipedia].

road to joy

The sun came up with no conclusions
Flowers sleepin in their beds
The city cemetary's hummin
I'm wide awake its morning

I have my drugs I have my woman
they keep away my loneliness
My parents, they have their religion
But sleep in seperate houses

I read the body count out of the paper
and now its written all over my face
No one ever plans to sleep out in the gutter
Sometimes thats just the most comfortable place

So I'm drinkin, breathin, writin, singin
Every day I'm on the clock
My mind races with all my longings
but can't keep up with what I got

And so I hope I dont sound too ungrateful
what history gave modern man
a telephone to talk to strangers
machine gun and a camera lense

So when you're asked to fight a war thats over nothing
It's best to join the side thats gonna win
And no one's sure how all of this got started
But we're gonna make 'em God damn certain how its gonna end
Oh yeah we will
oh yeah we will

Well I could have been a famous singer
if I had some one else's voice
But failure's always sounded better
Let's fuck it up boys, make some noise!

The sun came up with no conclusions
Flowers sleepin in their beds
The city cemetary's hummin
I'm wide awake its morning

Moving Proposal

Er, Joy. Can we please move to Wordpress?

Plleeeeaase?

Its features are so cool, plus you can move everything we have here over there.

There's one small con though. It doesn't have the collaboration feature. I think. Damn.
Okay, don't worry, we won't move out.

blogspot > tumblr

i thought about changing this blog to a tumblr, reasons being:
- possibly more followers
- possibly funner to use
- no more "do you have a blog?" "yeah but it's a blogspot"
but no i don't think we are going to do that, aren't we brig?
i like blogspot. it's easy and fast and simple. and tumblr is more about reblogging everyone's pictures and making internet friends, and that's not what we're here for.
besides this is our blog house it can't just change.

okay! that's another post written!

oh i have a major moral dilemma here!
jack johnson's new album is out. i have no money. my parents have no money. and they just bought me jack johnson tickets for december (woo!) i saw the album on thepiratebay.com (for those who don't know its a downloading website) yesterday.
i can either: beg for money (no i won't do that)
download (but it's jack johnsonnn)
wait until i get a job or find money on the ground or something and buy the album

WHAT DO I DO???!!!!

Not So Rubbish-Of-A-Scanner

I feel like such a noob. It's not a very nice feeling which I don't very often. Anyway, I just discovered that my scanner is capable of scanning beyond 100 DPI. Argh. All those horrible scans which made my eyes bleed, for nothing.

Anyway, here's something I found/scanned before my noob moment.

Oh The Things I Do For Art

bucket hats

okay so i did some major stalking to find this, and it's not even the good one :(

well one day (i guess in january from the picture above), i was on facebook and something interesting popped up on my home page, and i was like oooh so i went and investigated. and that was how i found this extremely (for lack of a better word) try-hard wall post/comment thing. not the one above by the way it was another one. and it was quite amusing actually. but that's all for now you can decide what you think of it. i wish i could have found that other one though :(

Smell

Maybe some of you haven't, but I've done my fair share of personality questionnaires. From the ones which tell you what kind of learner you are to what sort of car you would suit best.

Let's talk about those 'which type of learner?' are you quizzes. They generally ask you:

Which applies to you the most:
a. 'That looks right'
b. 'That sounds right'
c. 'That feels right'

And of course, you know that it matches up with a. visual, b. auditory and c. kinaesthetic.

Personally, I think that I'm a visual/kinaesthetic learner...as much as I'd like to be auditory - I'm not that special.. But I just realised, isn't there one 'sense' missing, which would be smell? Obviously we couldn't learn by scent, but are there some people in the world who remember best by scent? Like memory by scent?

What kind of learner are you? (open ended questions invite the other person participating in the conversation to think for themselves and give any type of answer they wish)

8 december

okay i was going to write a whole list of amazing things about jack johnson but i think i need to go to bed soon because i'm up early tomorrow
so here's a list of videos for you kids (WATCH THEM IN ORDER)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmjPrdTNxQ0 The Scientist - Coldplay. it's quite haunting actually, but i think that's cause i read what would happen before i watched it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5sB1iLO638&feature=related Sitting, Waiting, Wishing - Jack Johnson

and then you will experience my saturday night :)

Cont...

I
I used to talk to readers some time ago, before I started to feel horribly insecure that I was receiving hardly any replies. Maybe it feels better to write horribly ambiguous things which make sense to no one but me.

II
I spent lunchtime in the art classroom with three other people. That was because I don't like the common room, when I'm in there - lunchtime takes forever to end. Being with a few people in a slightly echo-y class seems to fit better.

III
Olympus Photo Day 2010 is the 12th of June, that's next Saturday. With most of the followers actually not residing in New Zealand, here's a piece of some very useless information for you.

IV
Songs ending with 'Day'
- Duran Duran - Ordinary Day
- Phantom Planet - Lonely Day
- Opshop - One Day
- U2 - Beautiful Dy
- Daniel Powter - Bad Day
- Sufjan Stevens - Casimir Pulaski Day
- Carly Comando - Everyday

V
The writing of this post spanned over a half hour.
