No Brigitte, just no.
People have DIFFERENT tastes in music. Not good or bad. Just different.
Maybe some people just don't have time to find songs or change names in itunes (although I hate when people have that too) and maybe they just don't care about music that much.
It actually works the other way too, see...
I judge you when you say "I listen to indie." Indie isn't a proper genre. People say it because they want to sound cool. I think people like that are just try-hards. Indie means independent music, as in not major labels. And then when indie bands sign on to major labels, do you stop listening to them because they aren't 'cool' enough for you? Yes you do. You don't care about the music just your reputation. 'Indie and alternative'? I bet you sing Katy Perry in the shower and secretly love Akon.
You think you're cool because you download or buy whole albums. No artist has 100% good songs. I bet you don't know half of what's on your iPod. Some indie songs are shit, really. There's a reason why major labels don't want them. And there's a reason why mainstream songs are so popular. Because people like them. Why do they get played on the radio? Because people want to listen to them. It's not that hard to figure out. Some mainstream songs are good. Some.
So if you're one of these people, listening to music and thinking you love it because you want to, just stop. Find your own taste in music please.
(just as a note, i love real music too. with minimum instuments and proper singing and no computers)
